Zelenin drops


General characteristics:

Basic physical and chemical properties: transparent liquid of greenish or yellow-brown color with characteristic odor; composition: krasavki tincture (1:10) - 5 ml, lily of the liqueur (1:10) - 10 ml, valerian tincture (1: 5) - 10 ml, menthol racemic - 0.2 g.

Form of issue: Oral drops.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics. Components of tinctures reduce the excitability of the central nervous system, have an antispasmodic effect, a slight cardiotonic effect, increase the heart rate. Valerian acid has a sedative effect on the central nervous system. Krasavki tincture blocks M-holinoretseptory smooth muscles of internal organs and causes spasmolytic effect. Menthol, irritating the mucous membrane of the mouth, reflexively causes an expansion of the coronary vessels.

Pharmacokinetics. Not studied.

Indications for use: Vegetative neuroses, bradycardia.

Method of administration and dose Internally, adults - 20-25 drops 2-3 times a day, diluting with a small amount of water. Children over 12 years of age are prescribed 1 drop per 1 year of life. The duration of treatment depends on the therapeutic effect achieved and the tolerability of the drug.

Side effect. Allergic reactions to the components of the drug, dry mouth, heartburn, gastralgia, tachycardia.

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, severe cardiac disorders, glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy. Pregnancy and lactation. Children under 12 years.

Overdose. Disturbance of accommodation, dizziness, dry mouth, tachycardia, dilated pupils.

Treatment. Symptomatic.

Features of application. Older patients and children older than 12 years Zelenin drops are administered with caution because of the alkaloid content of the atropine group.

To increase the therapeutic activity, they are used together with hawthorn preparations.

Impact on the ability to drive a car or work with complex machinery. During the treatment period, one should refrain from managing motor transport and performing work that requires increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Interaction with other drugs. Zelenin drops reduce the effect of antiarrhythmic drugs, which are prescribed for tachycardia and enhance the effect of drugs that are recommended for bradyarrhythmia, as well as antispasmodics.

Conditions and shelf life: At a temperature not higher than 25 C in a place inaccessible to children.
