Balsamic liniment (by vishnevskyi)

Irritant liniment for the treatment of wounds, burns, skin ulcers and suppurations. It was invented in 1927 by the Soviet surgeon Alexander Vasilievich Vishnevskyi as an antibacterial agent and astringent that accelerates regeneration processes [2]. 1 g of liniment contains birch tar (30 mg), xeroform (bismuth tribromophenate; 30 mg) and castor oil (up to 1 g). It has a strong specific odor.
